Following a brief hiatus, the Southwest Monsoon is set to intensify once more over Vidarbha.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted that a trough at mean sea level off the Maharashtra-Kerala coasts and a cyclonic circulation over south Gujarat in lower and middle tropospheric levels will bring widespread to moderate rainfall to Vidarbha over the next five days. As a result, thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds (40-50 kmph) are expected in the region during this period.
Additionally, isolated heavy rainfall is likely over Vidarbha on June 24, 27, and 28, as per the weather department’s predictions.
