Central Railway’s Nagpur Division has introduced the ‘Sanjeevani’ Mission, a pioneering initiative aimed at enhancing passenger welfare by offering prompt medical assistance during train journeys.
This service ensures that passengers can access telephonic consultations with doctors every two minutes, ensuring swift medical aid right onboard.
The initiative, which commenced at Nagpur Railway Station, is tailored to cater to passengers in need of immediate medical attention, thereby mitigating discomfort and avoiding delays until the next station with medical facilities.
‘Sanjeevani’ Mission is set to expand across major stations within the division, accessible through train staff or by dialing 139.
Key facets of ‘Sanjeevani’ Mission
It include rapid telephonic medical assistance, availability of essential medicines at stations, improved coordination between train personnel and medical teams, and comprehensive health advice to ensure passenger safety and well-being throughout their journey.
This proactive approach underscores Central Railway’s commitment to enhancing passenger experience through timely healthcare interventions.
