The National Testing Agency (NTA) has unveiled fresh dates for several examinations that were either cancelled or postponed, amidst ongoing controversy over alleged irregularities in their administration.
The UGC-NET, originally slated for June 18 but abruptly cancelled due to suspected exam integrity breaches as per inputs received by the Ministry of Education, will now be held between August 21 and September 4.
In a preemptive move, the CSIR UGC-NET has been rescheduled and is set to take place from July 25 to July 27.
Additionally, the National Common Entrance Test (NCET) for admission into the four-year Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP) across prominent Central and state universities, including IITs, NITs, RIEs, and government colleges, will now be conducted on July 10. This exam was deferred just hours before its original June 12 schedule.
The NTA’s decision comes amidst growing concerns and debates surrounding the conduct of these crucial examinations.
