Centre Point School, Amravati Road Bypass held its annual Investiture Ceremony to appoint and honour the newly elected Student Council members on June 29, 2024. The event commenced with a warm welcome extended to the esteemed guests, Director Principal, Mrs. Shilpee Ganguly Ma’am, and Founder Principal Mrs. Radhika Mehra. Principal, Mrs. Perveen Cassad Ma’am and Vice-Principal Mrs. Bhakti Bobde graced the occasion.
The ceremony aimed to celebrate the essence of leadership in the realm of education and to recognize the remarkable student leaders who have stepped up to take on responsibilities.
The Student Council members were selected through a rigorous process. The journey began with students nominating themselves, followed by shortlisting based on their qualities, capabilities, and commitment. A spirited campaigning session allowed candidates to share their visions and ideas with their peers, culminating in E elections where each student had the opportunity to cast their vote.
The School Captain, Hazel Sharma, and School Vice-Captain, Swaraj Barai, were the first to receive their badges and sashes, signifying their readiness to lead and make a difference. Director Principal, Mrs. Shilpee Ganguly Ma’am, Founder Principal, Mrs. Radhika Mehra Ma’am, Principal, Mrs. Perveen Cassad Ma’am, and Vice-Principal, Mrs. Bhakti Bobde Ma’am adorned the School Captain and School Vice-Captain with badges and sashes, respectively.
Following in their footsteps, the Student Council representatives from all four houses were acknowledged.
Under the banner of compassion and courage, the Blue House Captain, Shaurya Sharan, led the Blue House with Manan Waswani as Vice-Captain. The other members of the Blue House included Archie Dhulani as Prefect Cultural, Ajinkya Thakare as Prefect Golden Rules, Anshuman Upadhye as Prefect Anti-Bullying, Arnavi Gudadhe as Prefect Special Projects, and Palash Khandekar as Prefect Sports. They received support and guidance from the House Mistress Geeta Shende Ma’am.
The Green House witnessed the induction of its newly elected team with Harshita Mohta as the House Captain and Shreshth Chandak as Vice-Captain. Accompanying them were Advita Kolte as Prefect Cultural, Sarthak Uprale as Prefect Golden Rules, Ansh Agrawal as Prefect Anti-Bullying, Swara Menghare as Prefect Special Projects, and Raina Chandak as Prefect Sports. The Housemistress Mrs. Risha Garg conveyed heartfelt congratulations to the team.
With accountability, empathy, selflessness, and respect as their guiding principles, the Red House Captain, Ahaan Thakur, assumed leadership alongside Vice-Captain, Dia Singhvi. The Red House Prefects included Parni Nagulwar as Prefect Cultural, Aayush Agrawal as Prefect Golden Rules, Parth Sahave as Prefect Anti-Bullying, Shivank Nimbalkar as Prefect Special Projects, and Adhya Dwivedi as Prefect Sports. Supporting their endeavours, the housemistress Mrs. Kshama Chaudhari extended her encouragement to the team.
The Yellow House, led by House Captain Neil Chitnis and Vice-Captain Sharayu Chaudhari, were accompanied by the Prefect Cultural Indrakkhi Sarkar, Aahana Dixit as Prefect Golden Rules, Aryaveer Karnawat as Prefect Anti-Bullying, Vaishnavi Kumar as Prefect Special Projects, and Nakuul Chhokra as Prefect Sports. The housemistress, Mrs. Darshana Pali Ma’am expressed her enthusiasm and support for the team’s upcoming endeavours.
The Investiture Ceremony concluded with the teachers presenting badges to the newly elected office bearers, symbolizing their official roles within the school. Principal, Mrs. Perveen Cassad addressed the gathering, extending her heartfelt congratulations to the office bearers and wishing them success in the forthcoming year. She also expressed gratitude to the parents for their presence and support throughout the ceremony. The ceremony concluded with the National Anthem.
