The National Board of Examinations (NBE) is likely to conduct NEET PG in August, sources informed The Indian Express. While the exact date is yet to be announced, Dr. Abhijat Sheth, President of NBE, indicated that the new date would be revealed “hopefully before next weekend.”
Dr. Sheth explained that a plan has been submitted to the Ministry of Education (MoE) for approval, and the exam date will be communicated to students once approved. He also mentioned that they aim to complete the process within two months.
The NBE postponed the NEET PG exam on June 22, just hours before it was scheduled to take place. Dr. Sheth clarified to The Indian Express that there were no reports of a paper leak or similar issues. The exam was canceled because the Ministry wanted to ensure the robustness of the exam process and eliminate any vulnerabilities.
Dr. Sheth emphasized that a leak in the NEET PG exam is highly unlikely since it is conducted in a computer-based test (CBT) format. The question paper is generated online shortly before the exam, minimizing the chances of a leak. However, he warned that some individuals exploit students by falsely promising to help them pass the exam for a fee, taking advantage of their stress and vulnerability. These scammers often take partial payment in advance and either disappear or claim credit if the student passes.
