The National Testing Agency (NTA) announced the revised ranking for the medical entrance exam NEET-UG on Monday, stating that a retest was conducted for candidates who were earlier awarded grace marks to compensate for the delayed start of the examination conducted on May 5 at six centres.
This revised result came after a retest was conducted on June 23, as per the Supreme Court’s order. Out of the total 1,563 candidates, only 813 appeared for the retest while the remaining opted for the marks without the grace marks. This decision was made by NTA officials after careful consideration and ensuring fairness in the evaluation process.
This announcement by NTA brings much-needed clarity and transparency to the NEET-UG examination and its results.
