In a bid to provide specialized care for senior citizens suffering from Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH), a comprehensive urology camp is scheduled to be held in KRIMS Hospitals throughout July 2024. This camp aims to address various urinary symptoms commonly experienced by older adults, including incomplete emptying of the bladder, a slowed or delayed start of the urinary stream, straining to urinate, dribbling at the end of urination, frequent nighttime urination, pain during urination, weak urine flow, intermittent urine flow, incontinence, and an inability to urinate.
The camp will be held on all weekdays in July, with consultation hours from 3 pm to 6 pm. Patients can avail themselves of a consultation with a urologist for a nominal fee of ₹200, provided they book an appointment in advance. Additionally, there will be a 50% discount on in-house investigations and Surgical Package, if required, will be offered at 25% discounted cost along with medication during hospitalisation. Services of Superspecialist surgeons will be made available to the patients. This package includes a standard hospital stay of three days, but post-discharge medications and treatments for complications or other ailments are not covered.
