Represents district in State Championship which begins at Pune
Ishika Motghare has achieved the distinction of being the first player from Nagpur to represent Maharashtra in the Senior Women’s Rugby Championship 2024, currently underway at the Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex in Balewadi, Pune.
The Rugby Association of Nagpur extends heartfelt congratulations to Ishika Motghare on her success. The association also acknowledges the dedication and hard work of district coaches Amar Bhandarwar, Sunil Choudhary, and Nehal Dange over the past 8 years, which played a pivotal role in achieving this milestone.
Rugby Association of Nagpur’s founders, including Rakesh Tiwari, Dr. Vandana Ingle (President), Dr. Kalpana Jadhav (Working President), Shilpa Tiwari (Secretary), Amar Bhandarwar (Joint Secretary), Nehal Dange (Treasurer), Ujwal Motghare, Nafiz Sheikh, C.P. James, and Sunil Choudhary (Members), along with Yogita Barde (Secretary, Ramtek Taluka Rugby Association), have collectively extended their best wishes to Ishika for her future endeavours.
After eight years of dedicated effort, the Rugby Association of Nagpur has reached this important milestone. Ishika’s commitment and determination have been instrumental in achieving this remarkable feat, bringing honour to our city and serving as inspiration for future generations of athletes.
This achievement will undoubtedly uplift the morale of all other players from Nagpur and greatly assist us in promoting and developing rugby in the Nagpur district.
