The International Society of Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON), Nagpur Centre will take out a Jagannath yatra on July 8, from its centre behind Empress Mall, near Gandhi Sagar, Mahal, Nagpur.
The celebrations started as per the guidance of Srila Loknath Swami Maharaj, the disciple of Bhaktivedanta Srila Prabhupada, the founder of ISKCON. The celebrations started with ‘Snan’ (bath) of Jagannath Balabhadra and Subhadra and tribute to Raghunath Swami Maharaj, a disciple of Srila Loknath Maharaj, who was born in Argentina and followed the Sanatan Dharma and propagated it in many countries.
Various religious functions were held as a part of the celebrations.
The procession will start at 12 noon and pass through various streets covering Poddareshwar Ram Mandir, Central Avenue, Dosar Vaishva Bhavan Square Geetanjali Square, Agrasen Square, New itwari Road, Gandhi Putala, Chitnavis Park, Tilak Putala Square Agyaram Devi Square and back to ISKCON temple.
