The Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) is set to launch 10 new e-buses for the MIHAN area starting July 15. This decision follows recommendations from the Association for Industrial Development (AID) and Maha Metro, aiming to enhance last-mile connectivity and improve transportation infrastructure in the MIHAN region.
A meeting on this issue was held on Friday at the NMC office, chaired by Ashish Kale, President of AID; Mahesh Moroney, Senior Deputy Chief General Manager of Maha Metro; and Sanjay Rathod, Transport Manager of NMC. The participants discussed initiating feeder bus services operating in a continuous circular manner. The objective is to increase service frequency and improve connectivity between the Khapri Metro Station and the MIHAN area.
Rathod confirmed the commencement of 10 new e-bus services and announced that a trial run will start on July 10. Maha Metro has committed to providing charging facilities for the e-buses.
