The South East Central Railway (SECR) administration has decided to provide relief to passengers by changing the composition of many trains. This change will increase the number of sleeper and general coaches, ensuring the availability of confirmed tickets and berths for passengers. This will provide more space in various trains and help control the issue of overcrowding.
Currently, there is a heavy crowd of passengers on almost all trains and rail- way stations on different routes. This crowd causes trouble for passengers who secure confirmed tickets well in advance. Various de- velopment works on railway routes lead to frequent can- cellations and diversions of many trains. Moreover, the insufficient number of sleeper and general coaches makes it difficult for the railway administration to manage the crowd. Consid- ering these issues, the South East Central Railway has decided to increase the number of sleeper and gen- eral coaches. However, these changes will be implemented from October.
The decision has been taken keeping in mind the upcoming festive season starting from September, including Ganeshotsav, Navaratri, Dussehra and Diwali, during which there is an increase in passenger traffic. The railway administration expects this decision to provide relief to passengers during festivals. these festival
