A 63-year-old man died after a speeding school bus rammed into his bicycle in Nagpur’s Hudkeshwar area. The tragic incident, which happened on Monday, was caught on CCTV camera.
The deceased, Ratnakar Dixit, was going from Chhota Tajbagh towards Tukdoji Chowk when the bus hit him at approximately 8:30 am.
The impact threw Dixit to the ground, leaving him severely injured. The elderly cyclist later succumbed to his injuries.
Following the incident, Hudkeshwar police took swift action and arrested the driver of the school bus. The investigation is ongoing, and further details are awaited.
On Tuesday, a car collided with a railing and flipped multiple times near Panjara village on Koradi road, killing two people. Three others are in a critical condition.
Last month, seven people were killed after two cars collided on the Samruddhi Maharamarg, also called Mumbai-Nagpur expressway.
