On Monday, service centers affiliated with the VLE Maha-e-Seva Kendra Sangathan shut their doors across the state in protest. The closure aimed to press for fixed remuneration for operators of Common Service Centers (CSC) and Aaple Sarkar Seva Kendra (SETU) involved in processing applications for the ‘Mazi Ladki Bahin’ scheme.
In a notable episode, the majority of centers, including those in Nagpur city, remained closed. A delegation of center operators converged on the District Collector’s office, staging a demonstration and presenting a memorandum outlining their demands.
The memorandum called for the inclusion of CSCs under the National e-Governance in the government’s directives for the Ladki Bahin scheme. Additionally, it urged the establishment of fixed remuneration guidelines for all SETU and CSC operators and sought clarity on the criteria and method of remuneration disbursement.
