In a major crackdown, Nagpur Police have dismantled the notorious ‘Professor Gang’ of cyber criminals involved in duping investors through fake share trading schemes. Acting on leads from two cases, police arrested four suspects and seized Rs 1.15 crore obtained from victims.
The gang, operating under various aliases, targeted victims like Moti Kishanchand Dularamani (78), who lost Rs 2.48 crore after being lured into a WhatsApp group promising lucrative returns on investments through the ‘CHC-HES’ app. Following intensive investigation, police froze bank accounts linked to the fraud and recovered Rs 1.07 crore for Dularamani after legal proceedings.
Arrested suspects include Manoj Pratap Chand Bansal, Rajesh Kumar Siyaram Goyal, Tushar Sanjay Kumar Garg, and Vikas Kisankumar Bansal, residents of Delhi and Uttar Pradesh, already facing charges in New Delhi. They await transfer to Nagpur
