In a heartwarming event, the marriage ceremony of four orphan girls residing at Shri Shraddhanand Anathalaya, Shradhanandpeth, took place recently amidst esteemed guests from various walks of life.
Distinguished attendees included Major General SK Vidyarthi and his wife, Col Vikas Verma with his wife, Dr Ravinder Singal, Commissioner of Police, Abhijeet Chaudhari, Commissioner, NMC, Aswati Dorje, former Joint Commissioner of Police, Nagpur, Sanjay Sengar, Member, Maharashtra State Child Right Commission, and Judge Raju Pande.
The kanyadaan ceremony for the brides was performed by Narendra and Dr Shilpa Jichkar, Sachin and Aruna Purohit, Prashant and Jyotsna Ugemuge, Dr Abhijeet and Prajakta Deo. The orphanage meticulously arranged traditional pre-marriage rituals such as Satyanarayan Puja, Mehandi, and Haldi for the girls.
Under the guidance of the leadership team comprising G K Buty, President, Balaji Buty, Pro-President, Meeratai Khadakkar, Vice President, Nishant Buty, Secretary, and B C Bhartia, Treasurer of Shri Shraddhanand Anathalaya, the wedding ceremonies were solemnized.
Established in 1927, Shri Shraddhanand Anathalaya is dedicated to the care, protection, and rehabilitation of orphaned and destitute girls and boys below six years of age. The organization has been instrumental in organizing this marriage function, attributing its success to the dedicated efforts of Geetanjali Buty, Joint Secretary, Lalita Gawande, Pratima Diwanji, Archana Meshram, and other staff members.
The event not only marked the union of these young women but also highlighted the ongoing compassionate efforts of Shri Shraddhanand Anathalaya in nurturing its residents and promoting their well-being.
