The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced a retest for over 1,000 candidates of the Common University Entrance Test (CUET-UG) scheduled for July 19. This decision follows the release of the provisional answer key on July 7 and is in response to grievances raised by students regarding the exam’s administration.
The NTA indicated that the retest will occur between July 15 and 19 if any grievances are substantiated. However, the agency has not yet provided a timeline for the delayed CUET-UG results, which have been postponed for more than two weeks, nor has the final answer key been released.
Sources from the NTA have cited the distribution of question papers in languages not selected by candidates as a significant reason for the retest. Affected candidates are spread across six states, with approximately 250 from Oasis Public School in Hazaribagh, currently under investigation for alleged NEET-UG question paper leaks.
