Bad Newz, featuring Vicky Kaushal, Trpti Dimri, and Ammy Virk in pivotal roles, is gearing up for its theatrical release. As reported by Bollywood Hungama, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has recently mandated substantial alterations to the film shortly before its premiere.
In particular, the board has opted to excise three scenes from the movie that depict intimate kissing sequences between characters. Originally slated for inclusion in the final edit, these scenes have been deemed inappropriate for viewers and have been completely removed from the film.
According to reports, one of the deleted scenes lasted 9 seconds, while the other two were 10 seconds and 8 seconds long, respectively. The CBFC’s decision appears aimed at ensuring the film aligns with the board’s guidelines and standards for cinematic content.
About “Bad Newz”:
“Bad Newz” serves as a spiritual successor to the 2019 film “Good Newwz,” delving into a unique aspect of human reproduction. The narrative explores heteropaternal superfecundation, a rare phenomenon where a woman conceives twins with different biological fathers. This occurs when multiple eggs are fertilized by sperm from different men during ovulation, resulting in twins with distinct paternal DNA. The film explores the complexities and consequences of this unusual situation, offering a fresh and captivating storyline.
The soundtrack features compositions by diverse talents including Rochak Kohli, Vishal Mishra, Lijo George-DJ Chetas, Prem-Hardeep, Karan Aujla, and Abhijeet Srivastava. Amar Mohile’s background score enhances the film’s narrative depth and emotion.
The music release strategy has been staggered, with “Tauba Tauba” debuting on July 2, 2024, followed by “Jaanam” on July 9, 2024. Most recently, a remixed version of the classic song “Mere Mehboob Mere Sanam” was released. July 14, 2024. This revamped rendition pays homage to the original composition by Anu Malik, which was featured in the 1998 film Duplicate. The new version offers a fresh spin on the beloved classic, blending nostalgia with contemporary flair.
