Union Minister Nitin Gadkari announced two new projects for the Nagpurians. A ‘Bird Park’ and an ‘Oxygen Park’. The novel parks will be dedicated to people soon.
Gadkari was speaking at a function organised by the Jyeshtha Nagarik Pratishthan. An addiotinal electric bus was added to the fleet of buses of the Trust. Gadkari flagged off the bus on Saturday.
Giving information about the new projects Gadkari said the ‘Oxygen Park’ has been developed by the National Highway Development Authority near outer ring road in Jamtha. This is another attraction after Divyang Park, which was developed with Gadkari’s initiative. Special fruit-bearing trees have been planted exclusively for the birds.
Earlier Director of Jayka Motors Kumar Kale handed over keys of the electric bus to Gadkari, which was inaugurated by him. Dr Raju Mishra, Dr Sanjay Ugemuge, Mohan Pande were present. Representatives of Tata Motors, Pune Aniket Vaidya, Amol Talekar, Anand Agashe, Ganesh Chaudhari were also present.
The bus will be available for senior citizens for visits to religious and tourist places. The buses run by the Trust free of charge for seniors. The electric bus can travel up to 250 Kms on a single battery charge.
With the initiative of Gadkari the Trust earlier received two buses, including a double-decker bus. So far more than 26,000 senior citizens were benefited by the facilities created by the Trust.
