A 2-day Gurupurnima festival was celebrated on July 20 and 21 at Dadadham in Ravi Nagar. Like every year, this year Guru Poornima festival was celebrated with great joy and enthusiasm and a large number of devotees from all over the country participated in it.
On 20th July the programme began by reading of Guru Pothis which included Guru Charitra Granth, Gajanan Vijay Granth, Sai Charitra, Navnath Granth, Dada Stavan, Dadaji Dhuniwale Maharaj’s.
On 21st July, idol worship of Dadaji Maharaj’s took place at 6 am which was followed by the Aarti. Gurupadya puja took place at 1 pm and in the evening at 5 pm Dahi Handi was conducted followed by Gopal Kala. Post which Dada ji’s palanquin left for the city tour.
Maha Aarti took place at 7:30 pm. While addressing the devotees, Dada Dham chief Taiji said, “Remembering Guru’s name is very of paramount importance. Guru leads his devotees to spiritual upliftment. That is why Guru is worshiped in the form of all-powerful Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh.” This 2-day Gurupurnima Mahotsav concluded with the Maharprasad at 8 pm.
Rudrabhishek Mahotsav will be celebrated in Dada Dham in the month of Shravan. This festival will be celebrated from 22nd July to 1st September by performing the Rudrabhishek of the Sphatik Shivling located at Dada Dham. This Rudrabhishek will be done following all the proper rituals under the guidance of 3 learned Pandits. All the puja material, prasad etc. will be arranged by Dada Dham.
