Union Minister Nitin Gadkari on Saturday told the senior officials of AIIMS to ensure that poor patients do not wait for treatment.
Gadkari reviewed the work at AIIMS in the presence of senior officials. He sought information from the AIIMS administration about the treatment of poor patients. He also inquired about the waiting time for treatment and surgeries in AIIMS.
Gadkari Said that, If poor patients need to wait for treatment, check whether the services of senior doctors in Nagpur can be availed. He also suggested to reduce the work load by filling the vacant posts of nurses in AIIMS.
On this occasion Gadkari inaugurated the departments of ‘Bone Marrow Transplant Unit’, ‘Sickle Cell Unit’, ‘Nuclear Medicine’ and Eye Bank.
