Nagpur Municipal Commissioner Abhijit Chaudhari has introduced a suite of new online services aimed at enhancing convenience for city bus users. The new services include the Chalo App for real-time bus tracking, an online mobile ticketing system, and an online pass application process.
Passengers can now use UPI to pay for their bus tickets, simplifying the payment process. These updates are designed to streamline the user experience for the ‘Aapli Bus’ system, making travel more efficient for daily commuters.
To utilize these features, users must have an Android phone. They can download the Chalo App from the Google Play Store, install it, and follow the instructions to purchase tickets and apply for passes. Necessary documents for the application include a school or college bonafide certificate, an ID card, an Aadhaar card, and a passport-sized photo.
In celebration of these new digital services, the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) will observe “Aapli Bus Digital Ticket Day” on August 5. On this day, students and residents are encouraged to adopt the digital ticketing system and cashless transactions.
The NMC aims to achieve over 20,000 digital UPI transactions and mobile tickets on this day and will deploy approximately 150 staff members to assist passengers with digital payments.
