The body of Shailesh Kushwaha, a youth from Nagpur who went missing, was discovered by police in Madhya Pradesh on Monday. His body was found inside a Baleno car, which had been submerged in an 8-10 feet deep hole near a bridge.
Shailesh, a resident of Galli No. 12, Nandanvan, along with Milind Parate, Ketan Dhakate, Nikhil Sonkuwar, and Vikram Aatav, were en route to the annual ‘Nagdwar Yatra’ when they were swept away by the Katta River near the Tamia and Bhura Bhagat region in Chhindwara district on Sunday. While Milind, Ketan, Vikram, and Nikhil managed to reach safety, Shailesh was unable to escape and fell off the bridge along with the car.
The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and local police launched a search operation following the incident but were unable to locate Shailesh or the car on Sunday.
During the search on Monday, authorities found Shailesh and the Baleno car in an 8-10 feet deep hole near the bridge.
