A case of cheating has come to light in the written examination for police constable recruitment held in Nagpur. Police Commissioner Dr. Ravindra Singhal took it seriously and issued immediate suspension orders for three police personnel.
The suspended officers have been identified as Special Branch Police Sub Inspector Sanjay Chauhan, Head Constable Santosh Fakunde of Gittikhana Police Station and Constable Siddharth Lokhande of Jaripatka Police Station.
The written examination was held on July 28 at Yashwantrao Chauhan Engineering College and Datta Meghe Medical College in Wandongari. There were many cheating incidents reported during the exam. Following this, Police Commissioner Dr. Ravindra Singhal ordered an immediate inquiry.
During the investigation, the police checked the CCTV installed in the examination center in which the condition of the three officers appeared suspicious, after which the Commissioner has suspended all three for three months.
It is worth mentioning that, before the examination, a meeting of police officers was called on 27th July. In this meeting, all the officers were instructed to be very strict during the examination. Despite the instructions of senior officers, the personnel helped the candidates sitting in the examination to cheat.
