The Kavikulguru Kalidas Sanskrit University, Ramtek has been ranked 39th in the national ranking. Kalidas Sanskrit University is ranked second in the country among Sanskrit universities in India. The university has received this ranking as per the MDRA Best University Survey 2024 published by India Today. KKSU is the only university in Maharashtra included in this ranking and got the second rank among Sanskrit universities.
This ranking is determined based on various 7 criteria, including reputation and administration, academic research and quality, infrastructure and environment, personality and leadership development, employment, objectivity etc.
Vice Chancellor Prof Hareram Tripathi said, “The position achieved in the national ranking announced by India Today is an inspiration for us. What we mean by this is that Sanskrit universities can function like any other institution running professional courses. We want to present a great design on this occasion and we need the support of society, government and others. This success is our beginning and we have a bigger step to reach. With the release of ranking criteria and scoring, we also understand the areas in which further work needs to be done. Special efforts will be made to implement innovative projects in the field of research and to create placement opportunities available in the field of Sanskrit to the students.
