The Patanjali Yoga Class in Laxmi Nagar hosted a grand felicitation ceremony in honour of Guru Purnima under the leadership of Tapas Kumar Dey. The event celebrated the dedication and contributions of Yoga Gurus from the Patanjali Surendra Nagar and Laxmi Nagar yoga Classes.
The ceremony began with the traditional lighting of the lamp, or Deep Prajwalan, performed by esteemed yogis Satyanarayan Rathi, Ramdas Ambhore, Ghanshyam Rathi, Dr. Chandrakant Mandlekar, and Pradeep Patil (Judge). Dr. Chittaranjan Chauhan presided over the event, guiding the proceedings and encouraging participants to honour their gurus with Sriphal and Gifts.
The ceremony recognised several Yoga Gurus, including Satyanarayan Rathi, who was felicitated by Amar Hamrani, Shalaka Mohite by Anjana Dixit, Dr. Swaroop Laxmi Mudaliar by Pratima Dammani, Nilima Badki by Kalpana Bhute, Vishakha Fender by Kanchan Gupta, Vaibhavi Mote by Prachi Joshi, and Tapas Kumar Dey was felicitated by Dr. Chittaranjan Chauhan. Each guru shared their insights on the importance of yoga and the role of a teacher in guiding their students on this transformative journey.
Adding to the spiritual ambiance, Rashmi Ketkar and Purnima Kedar performed soul-stirring solo songs as part of the Guru Bhajan segment. Participants also shared their personal experiences and the benefits they’ve gained from practicing yoga regularly, particularly in the classroom from 6:00 AM to 7:30 AM. Among them, Charvi Suri, Prachi Joshi, and Kanchan Gupta spoke about the profound impact yoga has had on their lives, both physically and mentally.
The ceremony concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Tapas Kumar Dey, who expressed gratitude to everyone present for making the event a grand success. He extended special thanks to Vishakha Fender for her continuous support of the program and the regular class. The event ended on a joyful note with a tea party, allowing attendees to connect and celebrate the spirit of yoga.
