The website and application development hackathon concluded on August 13, 2024, demonstrating the skills and creativity of its participants in a dynamic competition held at Somalwar High School and Junior College, Nikalas branch. The two day event was honored by the presence of Shri Arvind J. Londhe, Regional Mentor of Change (RMOC) for the Atal Innovation Mission, along withGuest Mrs. Nita Atul Talatule, Director of Kesarimal Nagar Vidyalay, Sindhi Railway, Wardha District, and Mentor Sumit Tehlwani. They inspired the students and encouraged the teachers to support the students in their future endeavors.
Web development encompasses the comprehensive process of creating websites or web applications, including project design and functionality. This bootcamp provided a transformative experience. A total of ten schools participated in this initiative, with 38 students and 12 teachers actively engaged in the bootcamp. Teams competed to devise innovative solutions to real-world challenges. The submissions were evaluated by judges Mr. Abhay Deshmukh, Associate Professor in the Department of Physics at Nagpur University, and Mrs. Kavita Pande, Director of Matverse Vision Pvt. Ltd., based on criteria of innovation, practicality, and presentation.
The first prize was awarded to Team from Somalwar Nikalas. Team members Geeta Choudhary, Bhakti Gogarkar, and Anvi Kshirsagar received congratulations from the distinguished guests, as well as from Principal Shri Damodar Thombre and Supervisors Radha Patharkar and Shashikant Chande. Principal Shri Damodar Thombre commended the students for their hard work, determination, and unity, which contributed to this remarkable achievement. In-Charge of Atal Tinkering Lab at Somalwar Nikalas, Neha Mahatre worked diligently for the success of this event.
Overall, the hackathon was a resounding success, showcasing the emergence of the next generation of technological innovators.
