Aditya Narendra Ukey of Nagpur wins the title of 4thNagpur Below 1800 Chess Tournament which concluded at G.H.Raisoni Institute of Information and Technology, Shraddha Park, Wadi Hingna Link Road, Nagpur. The event was organized by Kalpana Prakash Welfare Foundation in association with G.H. Raisoni Sport and Cultural Foundation and is recognised by Chess Association Nagpur, Maharashtra Chess Association, AICF and FIDE.
Aditya scored 8 points out of nine. Shaunak Badole of Nagpur also scored 8 point but was placed second based on tie break scores. Sahajveersingh Maras of Nagpur, NIranjan Mocharla of Andhra Pradesh, Mradul Yadav of Nagpur, Dhiman MItra of West Bengal and Prasann Shukla of Chhatisgarh scored 7.5 points and were adjudged from 3rd to 7th based on their tie break scores.
Prize distribution function was held immediately after the last round. Shri Girish Pandav, Social Worker & Senior Congress Leader was the chief guest. Prof. Anupam Choubey, HOD Raisoni Group presided over the function. Shri Bhushan Shriwas, Organising Secretary and Secretary Kalpana Prakash Welfare Foundation and IA Ajinkya Pingale, Chief Arbiter were present on the dias. Shri S.S.Soman conducted the proceedings and announced the names of winners and proposed vote of thanks.
Aditya Narendra Ukey got richer by Rs. 51000/- while Shaunak Badole Received Rs. 30000/- as the prize money. Prizes were distributed to top 20 finisher as well Best Veteran, Best Nagpur, Best players in different Rating categories. Trophies were also given to Top ten boys and girls in Under-7,9,11,13 and Under 15 age groups.
IA Ajinkya Pingale was the Chief Arbiter for the event who is being assisted by FA Shiva Iyer, FA Amit Tembhurne, FA Shubham Soni, FA Bharti Dhote, FA Sagar Sakhare, SNA Prayas Ambade, SNA Shrikant Bagde, SNA Sudhanshu Gaidhane, SNA Shyam Agrawal and Prathamesh Machave.
