A Raksha Bandhan event was held at the Police Bhavan Auditorium on August 19, 2024, organized jointly by the Nagpur City Police and the Prajapita Brahma Kumaris Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya. The event commenced at around 11:30 AM and was inaugurated by Nagpur Police Commissioner Ravindra Kumar Singhal, Joint Police Commissioner Aswati Dorje, and Brahma Kumari Didi Manmohini from the Brahma Kumaris.
The program opened with Assistant Police Inspector Amol Daud outlining the agenda. Brahma Kumari Didi elaborated on the significance of Raksha Bandhan and the Raksha Sutra, emphasizing the importance of renouncing five negative traits and adopting five virtues for personal growth. She explained how Rajyoga can foster peace, love, and spiritual well-being.
Police Commissioner Singhal extended his best wishes for Raksha Bandhan and urged the citizens of Nagpur to celebrate the festival with a spirit of harmony. Brahma Kumari Didi later tied Raksha Sutras and exchanged good wishes with attendees, including female officers who also participated in the tradition.
