Nagpur District Chess Association (NDCA), in collaboration with the The FIDE Chess in Education Commission and Chess Knight Academy, is set to host a transformative Chess Teacher Training Program on August 20-21, 2024. Designed to enhance the teaching skills of chess educators, the two-day seminar offers a unique opportunity to learn from expert trainers and elevate participants’ coaching methodologies.
Program Highlights
Led by IA Anurag Singh, a FIDE Lead School Instructor, the seminar is powered by the prestigious FIDE Chess in Education (CIE) Commission. The program is tailored to chess coaches, school teachers, chess enthusiasts, and aspiring future coaches looking to upgrade their skills. Participants will gain valuable insights into modern chess teaching methodologies, as developed by the FIDE CIE, ensuring that educators are equipped with the tools to inspire and educate the next generation of chess players.
In addition to expert instruction, attendees will receive a course book derived out of FIDE CIE coursebook, filled with valuable resources that can be directly applied in classrooms or coaching sessions. The program also offers the opportunity to earn an official FIDE certificate of participation, providing an increased credibility of coaches in the chess community. The certificate, while not conferring any formal title, signifies active participation in a global-standard seminar that can boost the profile of any chess instructor.
