A large snake caused a stir at the residence of a High Court judge in Nagpur’s Civil Lines area on Sunday evening. The snake was spotted around 7 p.m. by a vigilant police constable stationed at the judge’s Savadamini bungalow.
Recognizing the potential danger, the constable promptly alerted the police control room and requested the immediate dispatch of a snake rescuer.
The police swiftly contacted snake rescuer Shubham Parale, who, along with his colleague Sagar Sawale, arrived at the scene within 10 minutes. After carefully searching the premises, they located the snake, identified as a 6-foot-long Indian rat snake (Dhaman), a non-venomous species. The snake was securely captured and later released back into the wild, unharmed.
