In a series of late-night transfers on Thursday, Nisar Tamboli, an IPS officer from the Maharashtra 2005 batch, has been appointed as the new Joint Commissioner of Police for Nagpur City. He succeeds Aswati Dorje, who has been transferred to a new position.
Tamboli, previously serving as Assistant Commissioner in the State Intelligence Department (SID), Mumbai, brings a wealth of experience to his new role.
In related developments, Nilesh Tambe, formerly the Additional SP of Nandurbar and recently appointed as Principal of the Police Training Center in Nagpur, has been reassigned to the Criminal Investigation Department as Superintendent of Police.
Additionally, Noorul Hasan, the former SP of Wardha and DCP Nagpur, has been named as the new SP for Bhandara, taking over from Lohit Matani, who has been transferred to Mumbai.
