A Delegation of Nag Vidarbha Chamber of Commerce (NVCC) recently met Nagpur Airport Director Abid Rui in his office and discussed some of the issues of air passengers. On the occasion, Vice President of the chamber Swapnil Ahirkar highlighted that there should be a separate queue for senior citizens and physically challenged air passengers at baggage drop-off points and security check points.
A committee member of the NVCC Madhur Bang said that the passengers travelling with kids also face inconvenience. “There should be a facility of prams for kids at the airport,” he added.
Executive Member Mohan Choithaniand Umang Agrawal raised the issue of non-avail- ability of ambulances at the airports. In addition to this, the delegation also urged the authorities to increase number of flights connecting some of the destinations. Abid Rui gave a patient hearing to the issues and said he would it take up with concerned authorities.
