–Internationally renowned life coach and youth mentor Amogh Leela Prabhu to address gathering on 24th August–
Nagpur, 23 August 2024 – The Nagpur Center of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) is set to celebrate Shri Krishna Janmashtami Mahotsav with a grand three-day program from 24th August to 26th August 2024 at the Reshimbag Ground. The preparations are already in full swing, with the construction of a large pandal covering 3 acres of land.
Dr. Shyamsundar Sharma, spokesperson for ISKCON Nagpur, announced that the festivities will commence on 24th August with a special program titled “Tools for Transformation” at 5 pm. The event will feature Amogh Leela Prabhu, an internationally renowned life coach and youth mentor, who will discuss ways to enhance leadership skills and ensure overall well-being in young individuals. The program is being organized in collaboration with various engineering and other colleges, with significant contributions from Dr. Chandrahas Handa, Director of Vidarbha Institute of Technology, and Harsh Prabhu of ISKCON. Parents of registered students are welcome to attend, and free registration counters will be open from the morning of 24th August for those who have not yet registered.
On 25th August, the celebrations will continue with a program exclusively for ISKCON lifetime members. Those who have not received the invitation card via WhatsApp can gain entry by presenting their ISKCON lifetime membership card. Lifetime members from other ISKCON temples are also welcome to join by showing their membership card. The day’s events will include darshan of the Lord, Abhishek, a cultural program, and Mahaprasad.
The final day of the celebration on 26th August will be open to the general public from 11 am to 10 pm. The day’s highlights include Abhishek Seva for Nitya Sevak, Mahaprasad Sevak, Sudama Sevak, and Library members at Reshimbag Ground from 11 am to 4 pm.
Additionally, on Janmashtami day, 26th August, the ISKCON temple Shri Shri Radha Gopinath Mandir, Gate. No. 2 behind Empress Mall will be open for darshan from 4:30 am until 12:30 midnight. A special program has been organized for special invitees, including politicians, officials, and esteemed members such as Balram Sevak, Radharani Sevak, Radha Gopinath Sevak, and new life members, from 5 pm to 10 pm at Reshimbag. This program will feature special darshan of the Lord, kirtan of the Hare Krishna Mahamantra, Abhishek, and various dance dramas presented by IGF, IYF, and devotees, followed by Mahabhishek and full prasad.
ISKCON Nagpur President Sachidanand Prabhu and Vice President Vrajendratanay Prabhu have extended a warm invitation to all citizens to participate in and benefit from these spiritually enriching celebrations.
