To mark Gujarati Mother Tongue Day, Shri Gujarati Samaj, Nagpur, and Maharashtra Gujarati Samaj Mahamandal have jointly organized a lecture titled “Matrubhasha Nu Mahatva.” The event will take place at 6 pm on August 24 at Shri Pragati Sabhagruh, Gujarat Bhawan, Dhantoli. Dr. Sagar Khadiwala, a distinguished litterateur, will deliver the lecture, and Nikhil Kusumkar will be the special guest. The Maharashtra Gujarati Samaj Mahamandal has appealed all Gujarati Samaj educational institutions across Maharashtra to observe ‘Matrubhasha Divas’ on August 24 each year and promote the importance of preserving and spreading one’s culture. Jitendra Kariya, President of Shri Gujarati Samaj; Dr. R.D. Mehta, Vice-President; Pradeep Rukhiyana, Secretary; Haresh Patel, Joint Secretary; Ashok Poriya, Treasurer; and other organizing committee members encourage the public to attend the symposium in large numbers.
