Under Business Excellence department, NTPC Mouda organized the Quality Circle (QC) Convention 2024. The event witnessed active participation from nine to ten dedicated teams, each striving for excellence. At the end of the convention, two outstanding teams were selected to represent NTPC Mouda at the Regional Quality Convention, while three others earned well-deserved consolation awards.
Team Lakshya emerged as the convention’s champion, securing the first position. They were closely followed by Team Agni, who achieved second place, and Team Anubhav who rounded out the top three with their commendable third-place finish.
The Quality Circle Convention Ceremony was graced by the esteemed presence of Shri D.R. Dehuri, Head of Project, NTPC Mouda, along with Shri Subhashish Guha, GM (O&M), Shri Prem Chand, GM (COE), Shri Pradeep Balwant Paranjape, GM (Project), Shri Harekrushna Jena, GM (Maintenance), and Shri Chandramauli S. Jangbahadur, GM (COE). Their involvement added immense value to the event. The convention was also attended by all Heads of Departments (HODs), representatives of Union and Associations and employees from across the Mouda station.
During the ceremony, Shri D.R. Dehuri, Head of Project, expressed his heartfelt congratulations to all participants. He proudly highlighted that 2024 marks the 25th anniversary of the Quality Circle Convention at NTPC, a remarkable milestone in the company’s journey toward business excellence.
The event’s esteemed judges, who brought their deep knowledge and experience to the evaluation process, included Shri Vivek Joshi, External Judge of QCFI Nagpur Chapter 1, Shri Harekrushna Jena, GM (Maintenance), Shri A.R. Mohanty, AGM (EEMG), and Shri Rajesh Chaurasiya, AGM (Operation).
The Station Level Quality Circle Convention 2024 began with an inauguration ceremony, followed by insightful presentations from all participating teams, and concluded with a memorable award ceremony celebrating innovation, teamwork, and dedication to quality.
