Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut, preparing for the release of her film Emergency, has requested action from the police forces in Maharashtra, Punjab, and Himachal Pradesh following threats against her. The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) president, Harjinder Singh Dhami, has called for a ban on the film, claiming it misrepresents Sikhs.
Dhami accused Ranaut of using the film to target the Sikh community, citing her previous controversial remarks about Sikhs and Punjab. The dispute intensified with a video circulating on social media, in which Punjabi influencer Viky Thomas Singh threatens Ranaut, warning of violent consequences if the film portrays Sikhs negatively. Singh is heard stating, “History cannot be changed. If they portray Sikhs as terrorists, remember the fate of those who offended us before.”

Another individual in the video vows that if the film is released, it will provoke widespread backlash, including physical retaliation. Former Bigg Boss contestant Ajaz Khan also appears in the footage. The video has raised concerns about Ranaut’s safety among social media users.
