To prevent the spread of dengue and chikungunya in Nagpur, the health department of Nagpur Municipal Corporation is conducting a survey of fever patients across all ten zones. So far, the department has surveyed 644,046 houses.
In this survey, Asha volunteers are visiting homes to gather information about fever patients. Additionally, the survey includes inspecting water-collecting items in and around homes.
Dengue larvae were found in 1,677 coolers, 3,538 tyres, 16,993 pots, 8,179 drums, 3,178 bird and animal containers, and 5,590 other containers. Medicine has been sprayed in every location where larvae were detected.
