Three senior players have withdrawn from the Vidarbha cricket team and some more players are said to be on the same way. Vidarbha cricket team’s star player Aditya Sarawte, batsman Mohit Kale and bowler Rajnish Gurbani have decided to quit the Vidarbha team.
Vidarbha won the Ranji tournament twice in 2017-18 and 2018-19. Finished runner-up in the 2023-24 Ranji tournament season. Vidarbha cricket team is currently undergoing training under the leadership of coach Usman Ghani.
First, the batsman Mohit Kale left the Vidarbha team and joined the Puducherry team. After this, the medium pace bowler Rajnish Gurbani, who took a hat-trick in Vidarbha’s Ranji Cup win in 2017-18, left the Vidarbha team. Rajneesh will now play cricket for the Maharashtra team.
Vidarbha’s team suffered the biggest shock when star player Aditya Sarwate decided to quit the team. Aditya is said to have taken this decision after a dispute with Chamu, the coach of the Vidarbha team. Aditya Sarwate’s decision has been termed as unfair and unfortunate by many former Vidarbha players.
Many players are unhappy with the behavior of the coaches in the Vidarbha cricket team. For this reason, they are going to a cricket team in another state. An official of the Vidarbha cricket team admitted on the condition of anonymity that players are leaving the Vidarbha team in the hope of better opportunities in other states.
