The Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC) has forecast normal monsoon activity across Vidarbha till September 4, according to their fortnightly outlook.
According to the data, all districts in Vidarbha have received normal rainfall since the onset of the southwest monsoon in June this year.
The region has recorded 812.7 mm of rainfall, surpassing the normal of 695.1 mm, resulting in a 17% surplus.

The forecast for August 22 to 28 predicts thunderstorms with lightning and light to moderate, occasionally heavy to very heavy rainfall in many parts of east Vidarbha. In west Vidarbha, very light to light, sometimes moderate to heavy rainfall is expected.
For the week from August 29 to September 4, thunderstorms with lightning and light to moderate rainfall, occasionally heavy, are expected in many parts of west Vidarbha. Rainfall activity is most likely to be normal to above normal across Vidarbha. The heavy rains in July had revived the southwest monsoon and boosted the region’s water table.
