Loksarang Hardas, Founder and CEO of LA’s Totally Awesome in the United States, will donate Rs 1 crore to The Blind Relief Association (TBRA), which is moving ahead to celebrate the 100 years of its establishment.
The donation will facilitate the facilities and programmes, including the establishment of a Junior College and a Skill Development and Rehabilitation Centre for the visually impaired.
On Thursday, August 29, 2024, Loksarang Hardas and his wife, Dolly Hardas, will visit BRA and will discuss the plans.
A Nagpurian and an Alumnus of Laxminarayan Institute of Technology (LIT), Nagpur, Loksarang Hardas is the Founder and CEO of LA’s Totally Awesome, a leading business conglomerate in the US, he and his wife have been active philanthropists, contributing significantly to various causes. Notably, they have constructed the largest Hindu deity temple in Los Angeles to promote Hinduism and have supported numerous organizations in India.
Their donation will lead to the creation of Dr Dinkar Hardas Skill Development and Rehabilitation Center, the establishment of a Junior College, and the construction of a 300-seat auditorium on the TBRA premises. Plans include the Dr Dinkar Hardas Scholarship for higher education, the Academy of Music and Cultural Arts, a research center for the visually impaired, an incubation center for young scientists, an innovation center for women, and the Hardas Socio-Economic Center for Blindness Awareness.
