PL Deshpande Maharashtra Kala Academy and the Department of Cultural Affairs, Government of Maharashtra, have organized the ‘Maharashtra State Best Public Ganeshotsav Mandal Competition 2024’. To ensure maximum participation, the deadline for submitting applications has been extended to September 5.
Ganeshotsav Mandals are required to send their applications via email to mahotsav.plda@gmail.com. Only registered organizations or licensed public Ganeshotsav Mandals are eligible to participate in the competition. There is no entry fee, and the application form is available on the website of Deshpande Maharashtra Kala Academy, Mumbai.
During Ganeshotsav starting from September 7, a district level committee constituted by the district collectorate will visit the pandals and complete the district level examination. A total of 44 recommendations will be accepted for state level examination, 3 each from 4 districts namely Mumbai, Mumbai suburbs, Thane and Pune and one from each of the other 32 districts except these 4 districts.
