A family dispute took a deadly turn in Hingna when a younger brother allegedly killed his elder brother during a heated argument. The incident occurred on September 2, 2024, in Mandav Ghorad, Ward No. 2, Hingna, Nagpur.
The altercation began when Kisan Vinayak Choukhe (36) and his younger brother, Govind Vinayak Choukhe (25), engaged in a quarrel over a domestic issue. The argument quickly escalated, with Govind brutally attacking Kisan, striking him on the chest, abdomen, head, and back with his fists and kicks. The assault proved fatal, leading to Kisan’s death.
Initially, the case was registered as an accidental death at Hingna Police Station. However, upon further investigation, it was discovered that the death was a result of a physical assault. Following this revelation, Kisan and Govind’s mother, Prabha Vinayak Choukhe (50), filed a formal complaint with the police.
Based on the complaint, the police have reclassified the case, and Sub-Inspector Sedmake has registered a charge against Govind under Section 103(1) of the BNS. Govind has been arrested, and the investigation is ongoing to uncover further details surrounding the incident.
