The National Academy of Defence Production (NADP), Nagpur, has been awarded the prestigious Best Innovator Award at the International Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) Conclave 2024. The event, hosted by KMBB College of Engineering and Technology, Bhubaneswar, in collaboration with WEGROW Pvt. Limited, took place on August 30 and 31 at the Suryansh Hotel, Bhubaneswar.
The conclave gathered experts, research scholars, policymakers, and industry leaders to discuss developments and challenges in Intellectual Property Rights. NADP’s recognition highlights its commitment to innovation in the defence sector.
Dr. Indu Mazumdar, head of the Institute Innovation Cell at NADP, received the award on behalf of the institution, guided by NADP’s Chief General Manager, Dr. J P Dash. NADP’s innovation ecosystem, created through its Innovation Cell and partnership with InFED, IIM Nagpur, was applauded. The academy’s efforts in connecting students with entrepreneurs and introducing them to the IDEX innovation ecosystem were particularly noted. NADP’s faculty and students have actively contributed to the defence sector through multiple patent filings, further advancing innovation in the field.
