Apple has officially launched its iPhone 16 series in India and other international markets. The new lineup includes several upgrades aimed at enticing consumers to upgrade. The iPhone 16 series will soon be available for pre-order starting September 13, with sales commencing on September 20. Customers can purchase the devices through Flipkart, Amazon, the Apple Store, and other platforms.
In India, the iPhone 16 is priced at Rs 79,900, the iPhone 16 Plus at Rs 89,900, the iPhone 16 Pro at Rs 1,19,900, and the iPhone 16 Pro Max at Rs 1,44,900.
In the US, the pricing for the iPhone 16 series starts at $799 for the iPhone 16, $899 for the iPhone 16 Plus, $999 for the iPhone 16 Pro (128GB), and $1199 for the iPhone 16 Pro Max (256GB).
The iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus feature a new design with “aerospace-grade aluminum” and a colour-infused backglass in shades of ultramarine, teal, pink, white, and black. The iPhone 16 has a 6.1-inch display, while the iPhone 16 Plus has a 6.7-inch screen. Both models offer a peak brightness of 2000 nits and adjustable dimming capabilities.
A new Action Button is introduced on these models, allowing users to quickly access functions like recording voice memos and identifying songs. Additionally, the iPhone 16 includes a new camera control feature with a sapphire glass button for easier photo and video capture, and a 48-megapixel main camera that combines 48MP and 12MP photos for improved clarity.
The iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max models come in a new gold color and feature a 6.3-inch and 6.9-inch display, respectively. Both Pro models are equipped with the new A18 Pro chipset, which offers a 20% performance boost and 20% better power efficiency compared to the previous generation. The Pro models also feature enhanced camera systems, including a new 48MP ultra-wide camera and advanced audio recording features.
Battery life improvements are highlighted, with Apple claiming the iPhone 16 Pro Max has the best battery life ever on an iPhone, thanks to optimized power management and increased battery capacity.
