A burqa-clad woman allegedly threatened actor Salman Khan’s father, Salim Khan, invoking the name of imprisoned gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. This incident follows a previous attack on Salman Khan’s Bandra home, reportedly orchestrated by the gangster.
On Wednesday, a man and a woman on a bike threatened Salim Khan at Mumbai’s Carter Road. The Bandra police have filed a case against the two individuals and are currently tracking them down.
The woman approached Salim Khan and said, “Lawrence Bishnoi ko bulau kya (should I call Lawrence Bishnoi)”.
The police believe the incident was a prank. It occurred on Wednesday when Salim Khan was sitting at a promenade after his morning walk. Gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, who is allegedly involved in the murder of rapper Sidhu Moosewala, had previously threatened Salman Khan.
Firing outside Salman Khan’s house
In the early hours of April 14, two men on a motorcycle fired five rounds outside Salman Khan’s residence, Galaxy Apartments in Bandra. The Mumbai Police, identifying the Lawrence Bishnoi gang as the perpetrators, have arrested six people in connection with the attack.
Additionally, the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) has been invoked against nine accused, including Bishnoi.
Earlier, the police reported that Anmol Vishnoi, the brother of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, played a crucial role in motivating the shooters. After receiving weapons in Panvel on March 15, 2024, Anmol provided the shooters with details about their target and instructed them to carry out the attack at Salman Khan’s residence.
The planned firing incident was executed as per instructions, during which the shooters received a total of ₹3 lakh.
