Renew Company has rejected the reports that proposed Rs 15,000 crore solar power project in Nagpur has been shifted to Gujarat. The company has disclosed that the news in this regard in the section of media is untrue and misleading.
The Renew said in written statement that, “The reports that we said that we will not invest in Maharashtra because the talks with the Maharashtra government are incomplete or because of the high electricity rates are completely false”.
These reports are not only misleading, but very irresponsible. Company said.

In Maharashtra we are going to invest in upstream value chain in solar generation, not in Gujarat. Renew is the largest company in Maharashtra and we have a commitment to Maharashtra. In Maharashtra, we have installed 550 MW capacity and another 2000 MW is under construction.This is a plan till 2026, for which 15,000 crore rupees will be invested.Apart from this, we will also work in the field of pump storage, green dihydrogen in the state, and this will create 30 thousand jobs. The company is providing 550 MW of electricity to Mahavitaran at a competitive rate, and we are going to invest 1 lakh crores in the state in terms of current projects and upcoming projects.
