The Nagpur District Chess Association (NDCA) will organize the DITF-Fiat All India Rapid Chess Tournament on October 5th and 6th, 2024, at Naivedhyam Eastoria Hall, Surya Nagar, Kalamna, Nagpur. The tournament is sponsored by the Tara Welfare Foundation.
Since its inception in 2020, the Dadheech International Trade Foundation (DITF) has provided a platform for energetic youth to share their knowledge and experiences. Over the past three years, DITF has successfully hosted several cricket tournaments. This year, in light of India’s significant progress in chess, DITF, in collaboration with NDCA and partner Fiat-Pe, is excited to organize this All India Rapid Chess Tournament in Nagpur.
The Tara Welfare Foundation, founded by CA Chandrashekhar Choubey and his wife, Mrs. Jyoti, is supporting the tournament with a prize fund of ₹1,00,000, alongside covering other expenses. The foundation aims to promote education, sports, women’s empowerment, and environmental awareness.
The tournament features a cash prize of ₹75,000 and trophies valued at ₹25,000. The cash prizes will be awarded to the top 25 players, including two best veterans, two best female participants, and two best unrated players.
