Union Home Minister Amit Shah is visiting Nagpur on Tuesday. In light of a security review by the Central Intelligence Agency, Police Commissioner Dr. Ravinder Kumar Singal convened a meeting with senior officers to evaluate security arrangements. Consequently, Nagpur has been designated a no-drone zone for 24 hours, from 12:01 AM on Monday to 12:00 AM on Tuesday. The Police Commissioner has issued a notification regarding this order. The no drone zone was established due to potential threats to the Home Minister from terrorist organisations. Police presence throughout the city has been intensified, with over 150 officers and staff assigned specifically to the airport area.
