The Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has given a green signal for operations at Maharashtra’s Solapur airport. The DGCA inspected the airport, security system, and compatibility and issued the licence for landing and take off at the airport.
Earlier the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security checked the security system. The flight operations to and from the airport will be started soon.
The inauguration of the airport has been deferred following cancellation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Maharashtra tour on Thursday.
