Nagpur native Vaishnavi Bawaskar has secured the top position among female candidates in the Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) State Services Mains Exams. Mahesh Gahtule, meanwhile, has ranked first overall in the exam.
Currently serving as Assistant Section Officer in the Home Department at Mantralaya, Vaishnavi joined the post six months ago. Her mentor, Vishal Nagpure, shared the inspiring story of her perseverance. Vaishnavi, who lost her father in 2019, has faced significant hardships. With her mother working in a private hospital, Vaishnavi took up private tutoring to support her family while managing her studies.
Nagpure praised her dedication, stating, “Despite the challenges, Vaishnavi worked tirelessly toward her dream of becoming an officer. Her efforts have paid off as she now prepares to step into the role of Deputy Collector after clearing the MPSC exams.”
